This is getting annoying…. another slow day.
After 4 hours, noone had managed to get even a small bite, though the sunshine, burgers and egg sarnies made it a good day!
After losing patience, Captain snooze switched to the float rod and maggots, stealing the win in the dying minutes with two tiny perch.

Another slow day due to the temperature and 30mph wind which saw Captain Snooze’s unhooking mat blown into the lake even before he had a chance to sit down!
The Spoon and the Donut started on poles with meat baits with no success whilst the Captain stuck with maggots and a float rod which seemed to be more successful, landing him a 3.5lb bream in the first hour. After this success, everyone switched to maggots and managed to land a few larch roach and rudd, with the Donut also landing a 2.5lb bream. Points, again going to Captain snooze for the most fish. No sign of any carp again this week!
Again, no changes on the Leaderboard.

The Pleasure Lake is well stocked with Mirror, Common and Ghost Carp into the high teens with the majority of fish weighing around the 6–10lb mark. There is also a stock of Bream to 10lb, Tench to 6lb, and Golden Tench and Orfe to over 3lb, Crucian carp to 1½lb and Chub to 3lb. For anglers who enjoy their caster fishing there is also an excellent head of Roach and Rudd to just under 3lb.
After a very slow start and a long wait and no sign of any carp, The Spoon pulled out the first roach of the day on the pole, closely followed by Captain Snooze. This was the start of a steady run of roach for both of them both, totaling 11 each. Meat Donut couldn’t quite match the standard this week bringing in only 4 roach, but he did catch the largest one today!
No changes on the Leaderboard though.

I guess everyone will name their choice on this one.
It was an amazing afternoon of fishing at golden ponds. The spoon got of to a good start bagging the first two carp but was then left for dust as the others stormed ahead. A close race between Meat Donut and Captain Snooze but due to the dreaded goldfish Meat Donut was robbed of a flawless victory leaving The Captain to take the lead and go home very satisfied.
The rules of this match were simple, fishing from 1pm to 4pm with guns at dawn…
